How do you LiveWell? I am currently training to run a marathon in May. I have a Biochemistry degree so I keep up with the science in nutrition and strive to make health food decisions. it is not always easy, but as time passes, I have seen many companies strive to give customers health options. Why are you running a marathon? Great question and at times before a long run and after I am not sure. No really, I am running a marathon because I love the challenge and because it has given me a goal to strive for. Also, I want to live a healthier life and the training for a marathon has helped in my decision making and with my health goals. One added note, the community of marathon runners in Grand Junction is amazing, they are encouraging, accountability partners and they thrive on the success of a person regardless of their level of running. It has been a life changing decision and I have seen others in my life start to think of how they can live healthier lives because of my decision to run a marathon What has running taught you? The top things I would say is that I have limits in my mind that I have come to realize are just that, limits in my mind and that with God's help all things are possible. I mean come on, me run a marathon who would have believed that a year ago? What's it take to run a marathon/LiveWell? Determination and will that says, "I am not there now but with time and training I can accomplish my goals" not only in running but in life. It is an incredible experience and I advise any who is able to take on the challenge. What advice do yo uhave for other members? You may not see the results today but keep pushing towards your goals. It is so worth it and the other side of the mountain is incredible so much so that you look for other mountains to climb. Nothing worth having comes easy and that which comes easy is not worth having.
