Don't worry if you miss a day. Be sure to get the next one. Try to leave your pedometer next to something you use every morning to remind you to put it on (car keys, alarm clock, toothbrush, cell phone).

Submit your steps at the end of each week. You can submit your steps online or by calling 683-6612.

How many steps are in a mile?
There are approximately 2,000 steps in a mile. Of course everyone's stride is different. An average stride is usually somewhere between 2 and 3 feet in length. So on average it takes between 1760 and 2640 steps to complete one mile.

How many calories are burned walking one mile?
This will vary depending on the individual, speed walked, terrain, etc. An average is 100 calories per mile.
